Sleep deprivation shall no longer be my portion 2020!
Did You Know…
- Sleep deprivation causes drowsiness which can slow reaction time as much as driving drunk
- The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimates that fatigue is a cause in 100,000 auto crashes and 1,550 crash-related deaths a year in the U.S
- Adults need 7 or more hours of sleep per night for the best health and wellbeing
- Adults who were short sleepers (less than 7 hours of sleep per 24-hour period) were more likely to – report being obese, physically inactive, and current smokers – report 10 chronic health conditions
Taking a power nap is a great way to combat sleep deprivation and will be my go-to method for doing so this year.
Nap Bar, the first white glove, self-care napping experience in Texas, offering communities and companies onsite and en-suite sleep services to help reduce sleep deprivation and increase productivity.
As a fairly new resident to the Houston, Texas area, I am beginning to explore and discover some great places that it has to over, like The Nap Bar! When I tell you this concept was created for ME!? As someone who stays on the road for work after caring for two baby girls with fairly inconsistent sleep schedules, I find myself falling asleep MANY MANY MANY times in places I have no business sleeping in. Talk about dangerous!
Sleep deprivation may pose a true threat to one’s livelihood, take it seriously. The Nap Bar is here to help us all by offering communities and companies the opportunity to take naps during work hours within an environment tailored to foster a more productive day.
