5 Houseplants for Beginners

I officially became a plant mom back in June 2021. While working  on my first instagram campaign with the amazing crew over at Plants.com they sent me my very first houseplant, a Monstera Deliciosa floor plant and my life changed forever as I am now the mother to three more real house plants including two Fiddle Leaf Fig plants ( Ficus lyrata ) and my newest addition the Snake plant ( Sansevieria trifasciata ). I’ve thrown in two faux house plants as decorative pieces to give my daughters a plant that they can actually touch and pick at now. These two plants include the faux monstera tree and the faux palm tree all of which you will find below with a few care tips noted, sourced from plants.com.

I would advise anyone looking into houseplants to go ahead and begin with one of these plants, even the faux plants. The joy and calmness of their presence within your space will leave you wanting more greenery and god vibes!
